Assistive Devices Program – Walker Clinic

Recurring Event see all

April 3 @ 9:00 am - 4:30 pm EDT

The Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care runs the Assistive Devices Program (ADP) to help people who have long-term physical disabilities get needed equipment and supplies. In some cases, ADP pays 75 per cent of the cost of items like wheeled walkers or rollators.
Usually, your doctor will refer you to an "authorizer". This is a health care professional registered with ADP. The authorizer will assess whether you meet ADP funding criteria, measure you for a wheeled walker and fill in the appropriate form.
The Parkside Centre, in partner-ship with the Stay On Your Feet Sudbury & Manitoulin Falls Prevention Coalition, has been able to secure the services of a Physiotherapist who is trained and registered to deliver this type of service.
Walker Clinics will be held at ParkSide Centre
9:00am to 12:00 pm & 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm
Appointments are 1 hour in length and are free of charge.
