Bill Rolston was born on Manitoulin Island in 1935. After completing high school at Upper Canada College he attended the University of Toronto, the University of Western Ontario and Osgood Hall.
Upon graduation as a lawyer he commenced the practice of law in Sudbury in 1962 and was appointed a Queen’s counsel in 1975. Bill continued to practice as a lawyer for over 50 years, most recently with the firm of Weaver Simmons.
Bill is married but his wife Shaen passed away on April 6, 2017. They have four children and 13 grandchildren.
Bill has been active in community affairs and became the president of the Sudbury Law Association, president of the Sudbury and District Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the former Sudbury Algoma Hospital.
