Let’s Make Gnomes!
What you will need:
For the body. It can be an empty plastic pop bottle (with the cap), empty Coffee Mate container, juice jug or simply a plastic reusable water bottle (you can buy one the size you wish at Dollar Tree or Dollarama).
For the nose: You can use an old pantyhose and stuffing from an old pillow or stuffed animal you no longer use. You can also purchase Cedar wooden balls (found in the laundry/air freshener section at Dollarama).
For the beard: The best place to find the beard is at Fabricland. The white beard is great for making a moustache and it is on sale right now for $5.49 per meter. Ask them to cut 0.2 meters of it. There are many colours to choose from but the others are more expensive.
Ears & Embellishments: Choose any type of decoration. You can find plastic Easter Eggs, Flowers, mini garden tools, children’s bows, felt, ribbon, twine etc. all at Dollarama or Dollar Tree. Get creative with colors and designs that go with your home de cor! It doesn’t have to be Easter theme. Get Creative!
- Mini Hot Glue Gun & Lots of Glue Sticks (approximately five sticks for each Gnome)
- One pair of Fleece Socks (Adult size) with patterns of your choice or material (an old shirt with a pattern you like that you no longer wear etc.).

Drawing and Painting With Helen
Learn to draw and paint through the use of different approaches and media. This relaxed, welcoming environment encourages observational and imaginative art, all well developing skills with regards to the use of tone, line, and a range of techniques.
Helen is a multi-media artist who works in graphite, charcoal, pastel, watercolor, acrylic, collage and most recently oil. Her educational background in the visual arts is a two year foundational course and a three year advanced diploma in fine arts with a major in graphic design from Cambrian College. Facilitated Studio Session – Open Studio with Judith
A relaxed creative environment where group members can pursue their own art interests, with support and guidance from the facilitator, Judith Duncan. Participants will bring their own materials for the work they wish to pursue, although the facilitator may occasionally introduce group members to different materials/media.
The group will essentially be unstructured for the most part, and will meet on Saturdays, facilitator allowing. These sessions are available via the Parkside Zoom account.
